Improvement of infrastructure rural communities is one of the three major jobs in Rural Village Reconstruction Statue (draft), focusing on improvement of infrastructure and beautify living environment tor create beautiful rural villages.  It is promoted under model program in 2008.  The budget is NTD1,984,800,000.  A total of 245 rural communities through county (city) governments have been approved for NTD1,955,200,000.  The program is expected to be completed in 2008.

Through overall planning and environment landscape reconstruction, these rural communities expect to have the performance of
(1) creating rich rural villages with unique characteristics
(2) beautification of rural villages
(3) improvement of dirt water and water drainage treatment facilities
(4) improvement of roads and pedestrians’ space
(5) improvement of activity space of citizens
(6) making villagers stick to the villages
(7) attracting people to villages
(8) reducing overflow of village people
(9) increasing job opportunities and stimulating economic development and
(10) increasing green coverage and reducing carbon emission.
